This essay needs a picture of the Blue Angel crew to show their diversity.

I first saw the Blue Angels in Massachusetts at Hanscom Field when my Dad took us back in the early 1970s. They had their F-4 Phantoms then and were very LOUD.

One of the streaming services (Amazon Prime?) has a new documentary on the Blue Angels. I watched it when it was released in late May. It's excellent, just like the Blue Angels team. Highly recommended.

Also, if you've never seen the Blue Angels perform in person, check their schedule and get to a show. They cover the nation every year, so there's no excuse. You won't regret it. There's no sound like F-18 Super Hornet afterburners swept in your direction after a low pass, close-up (at least, not since the Saturn V rocket and the Apollo program).

Yes it's Amazon, this is a review (of sorts) of that documentary. It's excellent.

I have seen them a couple times. I take my boys to the Air Show in miramar.

Thanks!
