At high altitudes where the air is cold and thin, it is possible for a pilot to find, quite suddenly and without warning, that his airplane has entered a condition where his aircraft’s stall speed and overspeed meet. A pilot in this situation will face a terrifying choice between an overspeed condition which exceeds his airframe tolerances and tears his plane apart, or a stall which, depending on the aircraft type and its trim condition, may not be recoverable.
"and they’re doing so entirely without career or personal consequences."
Exactly. But as you point out, it's hard to see how they could be replaced in anything like a timely manner if they were to receive some career consequences.
I agree that it is a real challenge to reform institutions that have been captured by cultural Marxists and that is now a long list of institutions which includes most of the S&P 500. Disney has become unwatchable for half of the bifurcated culture. If reform is possible, which is doubtful, I suspect hitting bottom is a prerequisite. Where will they attract the artistic talent from when they are a product of such institutions where the capture is most complete. The entertainment industry is more dependent on the artists than say the commodity beer industry where, for example, Bud Light can be salvaged over time with a simple marketing and label reform.
